Trainspotting 2 Confirmed

Trainspotting

Nearly 20 years after the first film, Danny Boyle has confirmed that there will be a sequel to Trainspotting; with the original cast Ewan McGregor, Ewen Bremner, Jonny Lee Miller and Robert Carlyle returning

Boyle confirmed with Deadline that his next project will be Trainspotting 2, stating that ‘All the four main actors want to come back and do it. Now it is only a matter of getting all their schedules together which is complicated by two of them doing American TV series.’

The original movie now a cult classic, told the story of a group of heroin addicts and their struggles to survive in a depressed area of Edinburgh within the late ‘80s.

Sony and Marvel Find Their New Spider-Man

Spider Man
It has been confirmed  by Sony that British actor Tom Holland (Wolf Hall) is to step into the suit that was previously donned by Tobey McGuire and Andrew Garfield, in the next set of Spider-Man movies.

We’ll get a first look at Holland in his new role, when he appears in Marvel Studios Captain America: Civil War, which is currently filming.

As a massive Marvelhead (sitting in a cinema for 22 hours straight watching the Marvel Movie Marathon with no sleep, allows me the right to call myself one thank you very much!), I’m trés excited to see this happen. Spider-Man plays a key role in the Marvel Universe and it will be exciting to see how he interacts within the Marvel cinematic Universe. It’s been a long time coming.

According to reports, the next set of Spider-Man films will follow a teenage Peter Parker and take place in high school.

Though I’m not  100% sold on the casting choice, if the film series  does go on to follow a teenage Spidey then, it makes sense to cast such a young actor and I won’t sell it short until I see him in action.
